The Risk Officer (RO) is a unique position, independent of RHRA management, reporting directly to the Board of Directors.
The RO is responsible for reviewing and assessing the effectiveness of RHRA’s administration of the Retirement Homes Act, 2010 and regulation, including RHRA’s activities relating to ensuring that licensees meet the care and safety standards and respect the rights of residents set out in the Act and regulation.
The RO is also responsible for preparing public reports in this regard.
In May 2018, Nav Sandhawalia was appointed to the position of Risk Officer for a three-year term.
