Welcome to the Licensee Engagement Forum webpage.
The RHRA recognizes that direct engagement with licensees and operators is fundamental to regulating retirement homes. As indicated in our Strategic Plan, one of our key activities is to engage a diverse set of licensees to capture unique perspectives from homes of various sizes, business and service models, and who operate in different regions across the province. To support this key activity, the RHRA is establishing a Licensee Engagement Forum (LEF), which provides a conduit to receive direct and regular feedback from licensees, operators and managers, and is part of RHRA’s enhanced efforts to provide proactive guidance and support on meeting legislative requirements.
The LEF’s purpose is to enable the RHRA to engage directly with licensees, operators and managers from various roles and types of retirement homes across the province. LEF contributors will have an opportunity to provide input on topics pertaining to the development and implementation of regulatory activities, operational matters and the RHRA’s own continuous quality improvement initiatives. This includes subjects of mutual interest such as legislative requirements, sector guidance, compliance education, resources and support. Additionally, LEF contributors will be able to bring forward issues related to matters within RHRA’s authority, including key issues experienced by licensees.
We encourage licensees, operators and managers who are interested in joining the LEF to review the Terms of Reference and complete the expression of interest form by February 17, 2025. All submissions will be reviewed and applicants will be contacted directly should they be selected for an interview.
We look forward to working together to safeguard the well-being of retirement home residents and further develop productive relationships between RHRA and licensees.
