RHRA Board of Directors Announces Extension of Interim CEO and Registrar

February 26, 2026

Today, the Board of Directors for the Retirement Homes Regulatory Authority (RHRA) announced the additional one-year extension of Lucy Becker as Interim CEO and Registrar. Ms. Becker will remain Interim CEO and Registrar until February 2027.

This announcement reflects the Board’s confidence in Ms. Becker’s leadership and steady hand during a period of transition. Ms. Becker brings deep regulatory experience as an Adjudicator with the Ontario Physicians and Surgeons Discipline Tribunal, as well as established relationships with RHRA’s diverse stakeholders.

Extending Ms. Becker’s appointment ensures stability, confidence and continued clarity as we focus on strengthening our core regulatory work and improving service level standards.
