RHRA’s 2023-2026 Strategic Plan is Live!
RHRA’s 2023-2026 strategic plan is now available to read on our website. The strategic plan highlights the priorities, objectives, and strategies RHRA has set out for the next three years. These priorities will be captured in RHRA’s annual business plan with progress reported on each year in RHRA’s annual report.
The plan outlines the following strategic priorities over the next three years:
- Advance an evidence-based regulatory approach;
- Build awareness of resident rights and RHRA’s role;
- Engage, collaborate and foster partnerships; and
- Enable impact through operational excellence.
RHRA strives to safeguard the wellbeing of seniors so they can live with dignity, choice and confidence in licensed retirement homes.

RHRA would like to thank over 1,500 residents, retirement home licensees and employees, associations and resident advocates for their valuable input during the strategic plan development process.
Over the next three years, RHRA is committed to continued engagement with residents and families, licensees, the retirement home sector, advocates and health/community partners to ensure regulatory effectiveness and the needs of diverse stakeholder groups are appropriately balanced.
