Bonnie Rose is Chief Executive Officer and Registrar of the Retirement Homes Regulatory Authority (RHRA). She joined RHRA in January 2016 to lead the organization in administering the Retirement Homes Act, 2010, for the protection of residents living in retirement homes across Ontario.
RHRA’s mandate includes licensing, inspecting and issuing compliance and enforcement orders; informing and educating the retirement home sector and residents; and, maintaining the Public Register of retirement homes in Ontario.
Before joining the RHRA, Bonnie was past President Standards at CSA Group, where she directed the development of standards and other information resources that help improve public safety, facilitate trade, preserve the environment and advance Canadians’ quality of life. Bonnie oversaw a portfolio of 3,000 standards and codes that are maintained and continually improved for use by business, industry, regulators and members of the public. To help people and businesses understand and apply standards, she was also responsible for a wide range of education and training programs as well as overseeing the implementation of customized solutions to address different market needs.
Bonnie holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering from Queen’s University a Master of Business Administration from the University of Toronto and a Chartered Director from The Directors College.
