Public Register

To operate in Ontario, all retirement homes must have a licence from the Retirement Homes Regulatory Authority (RHRA). The Public Register provides a listing of all homes that have been granted a retirement home licence, or that have applied for a licence. Retirement homes have until July 3, 2012 to apply to the RHRA.

You can search retirement homes and retirement home applicants by name, city or postal code. While conducting your search, please remember that data is updated every two weeks. You can see on this page when the last update occurred. If you are certain about the location of a home, but cannot find it in the Register, it could be that the home has not applied for a licence yet or been added to the Register. It may be captured in the next data update.

Should you have any questions about the Register, or require assistance using it, please contact the RHRA at 1-855-ASK-RHRA (1-855-275-7472) or email info@rhra.ca.

To notify the RHRA of a change in your home's Licence Application/Public Register information, please complete and submit (by mail or email) the Notice of Change Form
